Power for image stabilization and autofocus

Do any of you know how much battery life is affected by continuously running image stabilization and autofocus?

I see that both can be turned off, so perhaps that is a good way to get longer battery life.

Or is it to speed up the camera's recycling time?

IS will affect battery life to more extent than AF.
I'd turn off IS before AF.
This is because there are certain situations when you need AF.

Right...I should have said I have autofocus set to activate only when I shoot...not to be off all the time.
