Not sure where to post this. But I am currently looking for a new Laptop that will work good for photoshop. I am a newbie at phototgraphy and very new at photoshop. The current laptop I have is too small and wont support the program that I did get. So I would love to hear all of your suggestions on what I should get. This laptop will mainly be for photo's and photoshop.
Thanks
Pete

Simplest answer will be to look at the specifications published by the software you're using (i.e. the amount of ram recommended, and the processor speed).
Generally, the more ram/hard disk/processor speed you have, the better, but this comes at cost.
Also, the screen size/resolution is also a factor.
Ultimately, it comes down to how much you can afford to spend on it.
People have been pretty happy will Dell machines.

Well I get too fustrated with the program I do have. Plus it is a older version (elements and premier elements). I would love to find a program that is good for beginners also.

I would avoid a Dell lap top.
Does it have to be a lap top?
You will get a lot more performance for you money with a desk top. You can also then edit on a larger screen.

Well I am going to leave the elements on the desktop and wanted this laptop so I can learn PS on it while a friend teaches me.

If you plan to keep the lap top for a while ..... the more power the better. If you are primarily going to use it with clients.... power is not as important.
