Welcome back..:) Haven't seen any pictures from you since December. Have you been in hibernation for the winter? If so you've not forgotten your skills. Nice clean pictures, good action and excellent sharpness

Love #5 ... and only 148mm ... must have been close! Nice job.

All excellent pics 2 and 5 would be my favourites. Often hard to get close up of faces and keep the ball in the frame in headers, but you've captured the challenge well.

All excellent. And very sharp.

Of course number 5 stands out. Well done!

+1 and I'd add #6 as well although it seems a little soft on this monitor. Where these handheld or with a monopod? Curious as I often use a monopod for field sports and sometimes feel a bit alone in doing so.

Hi.. Always (well 99.99%) use monopod as the sigma 120-300 can get heavy after a couple of hrs :)

Cheers for the comments everyone... Just like to remind myself as much as anyone.. I came to this forum jan 06 with a canon 10d+sigma 70-200 and using mostly sports mode.

This forum changed everything for me :)

I feel much the same...this forum has taught me more than I could have possibly imagined. Hopefully my images show a little of that.

BTW, I am on a decent monitor now and that last one isn't soft at all. Nice work!

Kipax, looks like you're using the Sigma to great effect. How do you like the lens(es)? Have you compared them to similar (but far more expensive) Canon lenses? If so, how's the focus and tracking speed? Quality?

Every time I go to a store, they try to steer me away from Sigma, saying they're too unreliable. I have to admit, the low price has me wondering — don't you get what you pay for? However, when I look at your shots above, they're beautiful.

Great shots. That is exactly why I want to buy the 120-300. Nice crisp focus and beautiful rich colors. Superb.
