question for pbase users

I'm having problems viewing the "original" size photos..........anyone have any reasons this might be?

Well I guess you and I are the only ones using pbase.com :lol:
To answer your question I almost always get red x's when I want to view the original sized photos. Refreshing doesn't help either so I just go back to the next lower size.

I typically recompress my originals.

I have not had any problems lately.

Have you checked the PBase forum to see if something is up?

Is your problem that you click on the image and pbase automatically shows you the "large" size? pbase automatically defaultls to "large" if an image is bigger that 800pixels wide. If you click on "original" it should set a cookie for you to always view in original size. I usually resize all my pics to 800x600 and for my panos which are typically 1000 wide I simply put "click on original" at the top of the gallery...

I had similar issue: my photos would be shows in small sizes and images almost always looks very noisy. So, I switched to fotopic.net. Am happy now. :D
