View Full Version : New 20D - exposure compensation - adjustable meter?

Hi,
I received my 20D the other day and have taken perhaps 200 shots in a variety of light settings with a variety of Lens. (Bright daylight, cloudy, Tungsten and Flash)

Lens used -
EF 24-85mm USM
EF 28-135mm USM IS
Ef 24-70L 2.8

I have observed that under all light conditions and lens' the camera wants to over expose by 1/2 stop. I have set the exposure compensation down 1/2 stop and the pictures look very good. (When I use flash, the shots are right on however)

Question - to get the meter to read a correct exposure at the "0" compensation mark, do I have to return it to Canon or is there something I can do with a "white or grey" card to tune it up? This is not an adjustable item in the Parameters.

Comments and recommendations appreciated!

thanks - Sailare
