If you don't get a definite answer, go to Flashzebra.com and email Lon with the question. He'll know for sure.

My educated guess is that if the Sunpak 555 has a household sync connection, then you need a household to miniphone cord.

I have the Autozoom 3600 which I think is the european designation of the 555. This has a special 2.5mm plug & I suspect yours will be the same. Flashzebra as Curtis mentioned is they guy to contact.

You should be able to tell by looking at the flash.
A household connector is two slots, 1/2 inch apart. It looks very similar to a standard electrical outlet without a ground.

The 555 will have a 3rd prong socket in the middle but otherwise, like Curtis said, it'll look like the standard electrical outlet for the US. And the 2-prong connector will work just as well.

Take a look at this picture. The slots on the side with a hole between them as Leo described are the HH connector.

You've got yourself what I consider a fine 'auto-thyristor' flash unit. Powerful, fairly accurate, and with connectors as described above. It also has a connector for the dedicated modules available for it.

Now if I could figure out how to get the head off the handle I'd mount it on my bracket and really have a piece of equipment.

lol yea i did a lot of research before i bought it. I had a sunpak 555 but i wanted something a bit more powerful. A lot of ppl that shoot bmx use 555's just because of how powerful they are and how cheap. I dont have the money for 622's and i dont need something that powerful so ill be eventually picking up 3 more 555's. there a bit big, but if im getting a expedition 8 then who cares?

thanks for all your help
