I know I could try setting my legs on fire by rubbing them together :)

Another great series from you Brian. Well done.
Did you do any PP on these? They just look so sharp.

Can't remember discussing fill flash (well recently anyway). If you can't get good exposure with the existing light then fill flash is not going to help much. You really only use it when you know some parts are going to be dark because the shot has a lot of backlighting.

Thanks Vesa.
Think both shots are focus stacked plus will have had a de-noise and some USM sharpening in PP. I shoot RAW so most of the sharpening is done in PP.

He could own the "house of fire flies" ;-)

Nice shots again Brian - they don't look like our musca domestica though (in Australia).

Thanks for the comments everyone :)

Dave - pretty sure on the ID - the odd thing is I've never seen one in the house- it's always bluebottles that come in which I must admit I originally thought were houseflies.

Thanks for the kind comments Laurent :)
I was lucky with this one- these particular flies seem very nervous about having their photograph taken

Oh, I have no doubt that it's a house fly, I trust your ability to ID them better than mine, just doesn't look like an Aussie house fly ;-) I agree that I see more blue bottles/green bottles in or around the house than these...
