I HAVE RENCENTLY STARTED TAKING PICTURES FOR KIDS GAMES, SOCCER,BASEBALL ETC,,,

I WAS WONDERING WHICH LAPTOP WOULD BE BEST FOR ME TO VIEW THE PICTURES RIGHT AFTER THE GAME AN TO BE ABLE TO BURN THEM ON A CD,, RIGHT ON THE SPOT,,

I ALSO TRAVEL ALOT AN I LIKE TO CALL FRIENDS AN E-MAIL THEM PICTURES OF WHAT I DID ON MY TRIP BY SENDING THEM THE PICTURES FROM MY HOTEL ROOM,,,

LOOKING FOR A LAPTOP WITH MAYBE A CARD READER FOR ME 10D AN CD BURNER TO BURN THE PICTURES RIGHT ON THE SPOT

Please don't shout

Best laptop is a difficult question. And almost everybody have different opinions.

any laptop with a CD burner will do the job, if burn images onto disc is what you want, and with a laptop which burns cd, it'll be very likely it can be connected to the net from hotel room.

... my ear hurts ...

I pondered over this, I have a Tosh Laptop that is excellent but it is big and far from rugged. I also have an X drive with knackerd batteries. I am about to head off on a 3 week field trip to the US so I have bought a Panasonic Toughbook very small, very light, waterproof (sort of) and you can drive a truck over it.

if i had the money, powerbook (http://www.apple.com/powerbook/), voodoo (http://www.voodoopc.com), ibook (http://www.apple.com/ibook/), dell (http://www.dell.com)

but think of those as your main powerstations too, ready to edit, print, and handle anything you throw at them...of course you have software, bags, cd's/dvd's and all the other funs tuff to buy, its never a cheap investment...but i dont ever carry one when i am out shooting, i can buy a ton of memory cards and wait untill i get to my desktop or laptop in my car, which ever...

Mine's a Toshiba Portege Tablet - comes with external DVD/CD-RW, and since it's pen-based, no futzing with a mouse for photo editing!
