Just felt like sharing some pictures taken at an abandoned asylum, I visited not too long ago. I dont know why but, I have a fascination with abandoned sites and do most of my shooting at these locations.
Thanx for viewing and comments appreciated.

I can see why it would be fascintating, trying to get the colours and shapes all into the photo without it looking busy.

Not too fond of the first two. The third one is nice. These have a great "creepy" potential that you should play with. If you invert the first one and mess with it a bit, it's cool.
The third one if you take it B&W or sepia and enhance the contrast a bit, it looks like an old newspaper pic. Very cool.

Thanx for viewing.
These here are of the abandones Seaview Hospital in Staten Island, NY.
I believe it was built around early 1900's as a TB hospital and mental asylum.
They where one of the first which found a cure for TB.
It consists of about 10 building all in the woods, and is a great plce to shoot since theres nobody watching over it and is easy to walk rite in.
Thanx for looking, AL

The last one could be a setting for Resident Evil!

I like the first one the most. I think it is the angle and the distance that appeals to me. The desk disturbs me, but that is a good thing, the picture evokes a feeling.

Ruins have always been an attention getter for me. Spooky yet keeps my interest.
These are nice shots. Ruins of an asylum just makes it more freaky and mysterious.
I like them!!!

Heya.
I grew up in the Annadale area and lived there for roughly 17 years. Im currently living in Park Slope, Brooklyn. And if ya ever wanna go shooting i go to abandoned sites all around the island which where adventure spots for me growing up and know them very well. Id be more then delighted to have a photography partner besides my sister.
Thanx all for looking. I plan on going back to that site soon since i have much more to explore there. Ill be posting more of this site in the future.
Thanx again, Al
