Hi
On my vacation I diligently took along with me my S40 software disk and the USB cable so that I could download the photos from my 340Mb microdrive and burn a CD.
Unfortunately the S40 software failed to load correctly as it was asking for a driver which it could not find.
Instead I switched to another PC with Windows ME on it. Now ME includes software that will download from a digital camera. But be warned it saves the files using its own sequenced numbering and it ignores and loses the Canon camera numbering. This was a hassle later because you also lose the timeline capability and if downloading from multiple microdrives you risk overwriting the files unless you expressly download to different folders.
Beware of this problem.
