I tried searching on here for information on this but couldn't find it, Ok so i am trying to do my first HDR and every time I select the 3 images to upload to merge to HDR, a small box pops up saying that in order to merge files they must be the same size. I resized them pixel wise and it's not working still. What am I missing? Thanks

What program are you using that tells you this?

What program are you using that tells you this?

And are you using bracketed photos? I ask because if you are, consider leaving the input images untouched and performing the cropping / resizing / whatever after you HDR process. /Dan

I'm not to sure what you mean by bracketed photos. The only thing i did cropping wise was straighten them. Thanks for the input.

For the HDR to work, the images must be an exact match, your attempt to straighten them up might be the problem. Try going back to the originals.

Go into the menu on your camera, scroll down to AEB press set turn the big dile right and set the camera to fire exposures at eith -1.0.+1 or -2.0.+2 are every 1/3 exposure, then press set again to confirm and lock bracket. Then exit then menu screen and set the camera on a tridpod, if you don't have a remote set the camera to timer mode and fire. It will take 3 shot of the same subject in three different exposure as set by user. Then using photomatix merge the three images together then tonemap the image to desired HDR look.

Ben, are you using 3 images that you shot all at the same time while the camera was mounted on a tripod pointed at the same EXACT scene? Also, as Lowner said, the fact that you croped or turned the images slightly will may be causing CS3 to "assume" that these are different files, even they we know they are not.

Oh Ok, AEB. Yes I did use this function, I was in a hurry cause the sun was setting fast, so the tripod might have not been perfectly still but it was extremely close. Photomatix is a program you have to buy, correct?
