Welcome to the forum. I assume WNC means Western North Carolina. The only reason that comes to mind is there once was a railroad called the ET&WNC (Eastern Tennessee and Western North Carolino Railroad). Apparently the locals called it "The Tweetsie." For some reason, that bit of trivia always stuck with me.

Thanks. Yes WNC is Western North Carolina. The train your talking about probably goes through the Great Smokey Mountains. Its a very very pretty trip on the train.
