should i buy the sigma 50mm macro lens

because i really want a cheap good macro lens and also i thought i would be a good walk around lens

The 50mm 2.8 Macro is a very nice lens. Has decent AF for a Macro too.

It is very sharp, and a good deal. However, the AF is slow. Might be too slow for "normal" subjects. 50mm macro = very close. What will you be taking macro pix of?

Flip the limit switch on and the AF is not all that bad.
