Well here is my first try at macro photography taken this evening in my back yard. This is (I think) a Washington Pear blossom which is closely related to a Bradford Pear. With the breeze moving things around I was a bit worried but I think it is OK, I could have gotten closer, i.e., more macro but wanted the cluster of blooms.
Tel me what you think, be honest.
Thanks

I think its nice ... but I would want to get closer. If you get your DOF right you will still get other flowers in.

Diffusing the light might have helped a bit, but otherwise I like it.

Thanks folks, a few points I have learned are first, the wind is not my friend! Second, I need more hands, I did think of using a scrim to diffuse the light but this was a rather impromptu shot on a whim and more planning would help.
I appreciate the feedback, there will be more to come...I got to learn to do those water refraction shots!
