A Few 580EX Shots

Just got my 580EX today from Adorama. I was happy to see that they honored the pre-release price of $439.00. I see the price is $479.00 on thier site now. I used a 1DMkII+EF 85 1.2+580EX. Shot in P Mode with only a bit of UnSharp Mask in PS.

I used the "Catchlight" feature of the flash. The catchlight is a small plastic opaque square that extends out of one side of the flash. You point the flash straight up towards the ceiling and have the catchlight extended. Did not read the manual yet. Just popped it on and fired it up.

Judging from the histogram, it has the trademarked ETTL underexposure. Don't worry. Just dial in +2/3 FEC and things will look much better.

It may have a 2/3 underexposure but I like the mood. I would certainly hang them on a wall for everyone to see. :)
