Paramount PC Tip conditioner?

Has anyone tried this out on messed up pc tips and outlets? I have been looking at getting one but not sure if it's a gimmick or not, pc tips can be a little unreliable.

These devices have been around as long as there have been PC tips. It amazes me that we have all this fancy digital technology and we can put cameras in space (Hubble), but manfacturers still insist on using that horrible PC connector.

If you're going to get one, make sure you get it with the internal sleeve that straightens the pin on the inside of the connector as well as the outside part.
