Hi:

I recently went to our annual air show here in Whitehorse and tried out my 100-400L. I had never taken photos at one of these shows before and was pleasantly surprised by the outcome (the planes belong to The Snowbirds, Canada's premier military pilots). Hope you enjoy.

Very nice. They are supposed to perform here in Pittsburgh. I can't wait for the Air Show.

The 100-400L is my favorite lens for shooting air shows.

Ha! I just took mine out today for the first time to see the Blue Angels fly! Uploading the pics off my CF card as I type this. I loved it! This lens is awesome!

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I love that lens, although up to the time of the air show I only used it for wildlife and birds. For those of you with a new 100-400 who want to know what it can do in that department, I posted a couple of red fox photos in the wildlife/animal forum ("Red Fox in the wild").

Nice work, I'm going to need to rent that lens for the Chicago air show.
