I went out to Big Bend this weekend and my cheapo tripod broke and some of my shots I was trying to get in HDR came out kind of hazy because the camera was moving some on the tripod. I do 99% of my work in the field so I was hoping for some good advice on a good tripod that was light, but not too expensive or weak. I just don't have the money for a carbon fiber, and I really want this thing to be able to hold up for what I throw at it.

I appreciate the difficulty in purchasing a good tripod, but make sure to search on the forums, this is an often asked question. Also please give us a price range, expensive is different for everyone.

Also be sure to take a read of this: http://www.bythom.com/support.htm

Sorry everyone, I did a little more research on the forum and read the article in the previous post and I think I have a good idea of what I'm going to go with. Sorry for the repetitive thread.
