Thanks. These are from my Mark III's maiden outing with a 300 f/2.8.

Good stuff Chris -- in some very harsh sunlight and from the stands too!! I especially like #1 -- it's difficult to get anything meaningful in the frame on shots this close. #3 is also excellent -- you shot almost directly into the harsh sunlight and still got good facial detail. Well done -- I think you're gonna like that MKIII :).

Thanks Jerry. Number 1 was my favorite of the day. I just wish I could of been lower so I could of gotten a little more face showing.

Great Shots......for some reason the ball does not look natural in #3. To me it looks too small, like it was photoshoped in, but I don't think that was the case

#4 is a 3/4 releaser like I am! The ball is about 1/3 of a single rotation out of the pitchers hand. He would have been holding it on the 2 red lines above and below the blue lettering.
Love the shots!
Are you in the bay area, or sac.?

It is not Photoshoped (aside from sharpening and some levels adjustments).
Thanks Strnge, I'm in the Bay Area.

We'll have to go shoot together sometime. I work in SF, but live in Hayward. I am a baseball nut! Too bad I got tendonitis and can't throw like that anymore.

If you ever make it out to any SJ Giants games just let me know, I can usually be found there for at least one game a series.

Only when SJ State plays at Muni. There is some WAC or NCAA rule that keeps me off the field. Otherwise, I am a credentialed photographer.
