All are great shots and not to burst your bubble but the F16 is the Falcon

While its official name is indeed "Falcon", it is known to its pilots as "Viper". It's the original unofficial name people who were involved in its development and flying called it. Consider it the "inner circle" name. :)

Great shots. Some of them are a bit noisy and I would try to do some NR in PP, but overall stunning captures. The last one is my favorite. Great angle.

Nice Pics. The F16 is my favorite fighter to watch at airshows now that the F14s are gone. I love it when a demo 16 takes off and climbs up to about 20 feet mid field and stay's level and tucks it's landing gear in. Then at the end of the runway it has built up alot of speed and goes striaght up very fast it is AWESOME.

All the F15 demo's that I've seen they don't wait till they get to the runway end to build up as much speed before they go striaght up It looks alot slower of a climb because they go striaght up mid field I wish they would do it like a F16.

very nice shots. i wish i could have made it out this weekend. i was lucky enough to catch them practicing on friday afternoon though. (i work about 2 miles from KMHR).

Technically it's "Fighting Falcon" but the OP is correct...Viper is the name used within the F16 community.

Others have hung on it the moniker "Electric Jet" as well as "Lawn Dart" (which, IIRC, came primarilly from the F15 community...)

Of course the F16 drivers have their names for the F15 as well:
- F15 "Ego"
- Twin Tailed Tennis Court
- Rodan
