Challenge #115 Bubbles

Bubbles are everywhere... everyone has access to some kind of bubble ! maybe you'll want to show us the colours in a soap bubble, or the fizz in lemonade, chewing gum or even paint. And lets see some EXIF data, we've been slipping in recent weeks... I'm hoping for creative use of filters too if you have them.... CPL / IR / ND Grad or Gels.

Getting your EXIF data: you can either get a free program to do it, or just rightclick on your file icon (in XP) goto properties, and summary - sometimes you may need to click the 'advanced' tab too. It's all there :)

1st - Stanley_Pope's 'Bubble on a patio pond'
>> Really love this shot, nice crystal clear bubble with plenty of reflection in it - most of you will know i'm a bit of a reflection junkie so I just LOVE this stuff. There's also a 'thing' about isolating something, like a tree looking lonely on a landscape etc...

My second choice would be BenArnold's 'Hops, Barley, Water' - Terrific angle for the shot, only lost out on first place due to not being pin sharp. I was really torn between this one and me Pope's bubble, the clarity and EXIF was the decider.

A disapointing number of entries, but wholly expected given that it's easter, Mr Pope... can I ask if you took that with a CPL in Sepia mode ? the eddy's look almost polerized. I know you said B/W in your exif, but honestly, it looks sepia on my screen, and Adobe Gamma says I have the grey balanced out right.

For the 4 who entered, thank you, wonderful shots all.... though I was hoping for something like bubble gum, soap bubbles and that ilk as well. I know most boards have been a little quiet though, and I hope everyone had a happy easter :)

Over to you Stan, and Good luck everyone for the next challenge.

Thanks for the first, place, not a lot entries but all were excellent .
Bboi I took the shot in colour, the bubble turned out good, but the surrounding water looked very drab. Used PS Elements to convert to B/W and gave it a sepia look in “colour variations”
I will have a new challenge up shortly.

Thanks for the place! I saw the opportunity last night and didn't bother to get the tripod as the head would have subsided by the time I'd set it up, and also I didn't think it would come close to mathing Stan's bubble which is excellent.

I was quite pleased with how it turned out though, and now wish I had taken the time to get it sharper. I'm sure it won't be the last beer I ever drink though :)

Good job everyone!
