Good shot MJ, Lovley detail. I believe Toby crops from x3 sometimes. I do ocassionally but mostly for composition if needed.

if i shoot that face at 3:1 at f11 i wouldnt get all the face in focus..but if i shot it at 1:1 at f/11 and done 50% or a big crop i can get more dof?did that make sense?

shots like this buddie u cant be choosy on backgrounds.its pretty hard to get a good threat pose on its own let alone setting up a good background and forcing him to do it.the orange on the right side is his wings.its not a made up background.he puts them up when hes thretened..im pretty happy with the background..

i suppose sometime you just have to crop and get a better comp in MJ. i try not to crop at all the last few weeks of shooting last summer. gonna give it a try again with no cropping and see what i can do. nice shot and great eyes detail there.

the eyes look so calm and the weapons so fearsome - a natural born killer.
