im knew to slrs, i got the iso part and the shutter speed, and the white balance,but whats the fstop though, and how you set it, and what does it do? :oops:

Check to see if you can get into a beginner photography class at a local community college or adult education program. F-stops and shutter speeds are basic concepts that they generally teach first and foremost.

Either of these books will explain everything you need to know about shutter speed and aperture (measured in f-stops).

There are also web sites that give good information on this. Just "google" basic photography, or something like that.
