importing photos into lightroom..

if i take a photo in raw, and them import it into lightroom, is there a way to keep the camera/raw settings (i.e., standard, faithful, etc etc)?

When you take a picture using those settings, they only apply to jpeg images, not to the RAW images. The camera does nothing to the RAW images.

Those settings only apply in Canon's own software (DPP). Canon does not share enough details of the inner workings of their RAW format with 3rd parties for them to be able to make use of those settings.
