Red or white? I personally prefer the red.

I actually find all the KR-bashing a little distasteful, and very un-POTN like. Maybe---just maybe---if you ignore him, he'll go away, but as has been pointed out already, he gets paid by the click, so every time you mention his name, chances are someone will go looking for his site just to see what all the fuss is about.

There are lots of photography experts on the internet truly deserving of our scorn. They are Nikon users, and they are getting cocky with the recent release of the D3 and D300. (their engineers got lucky)

Save yourselves for the important battles.

I guess they can afford o be cocky. I got to shoot a D300 a few weekends ago and I must say, it is a nice camera. Whether Noink engineers got lucky or not, a home run is a home run.

And I was being sarcastic. Whether we like it or not, Nikon has been building good cameras for years. That isn't luck.

Canons and Nikons are like Chevys and Fords. They are substantially equivalent products, each with their nearly rabid following. It's almost a religious thing.

I chose and prefer Canon. Some others choose and prefer Nikon. Big whoop.

Now let's ALL get out there and take pictures.

And Tom?!! You? Sarcastic?!! Say it ain't so, Tom!

Not really knowing who this guy is, I was about to look him up. However, after reading Belmondo's post, I think I'll just skip it.

I'm probably better off not knowing.

He's actually quite funny. He's worth having a laugh over, just don't take his "opinion" too seriously. The problem is that he drinks too much of Nikon's fruit punch to trust his analysis completely, though he does own some Canon gear. If you read his Canon reviews, they are actually pretty accurate assesments of the gear, but he has a predisposition to believe that all hardware labeled "Nikon" floated down from heaven, so his Nikon reviews suffer from his affected judgment.

It seems he shoots a lot of landscapes.
