I am new to photoshop to say the least. s I ordered a photo shop layout for track and field from StudioStyles.net I have opened it up in PS Elements. There are no instruction at all.. I am trying to figure out how to add the photos and its not working out and I am stressed out.. There are several layers one say photos and one says team which is where my photos should go however i am afraid to make a mistake Is there anywhere on the net that may have insight for newbie's like me looking to use this.. The site does not have a support email from what I see so therefore I cannot ask who I need to ask.

I dont want to make a mistake and damage the original file..

Any help will be appreciates

I will make the file available to anyone who would like to help... thnx

Open your files in photoshop. Then open the "template" you were given, that had the team and individual layers on it.

Find your team photo that you opened previously - and use your move tool to move the file to the layer labeled "team." Same thing with the individual shot - click, move to layer labeled "individual" and that should be good right there.

By the way, you can do all of this without a template, probably a LOT easier than what the studiostyles provided to you. You'd definitely have a lot more creative control too!

Did you flatten the layers prior to printing? Those templates are meant to be time savers, but they can be more trouble than they're worth at times. Learn to make your own by using layers and stuff, and learn how to select using quick mask tools (lots of tutorials to be had on here). You can make your own background just by using brushes and the like, I'll show you something I whipped up a in about 10 minutes time.

Friend of mine asked me to make this for his video game character as a background image, they're all the rage with sigs for popular video games. :) Altogether, I used about 8 layers or so.
