Just wondering if there is any voltage conerns.

Wouldn't the problem (if there *is* in fact any) lie in the voltage of the flash unit itself, rather than the adapter itself?

If the trigger voltage of the flash is too high (higher than the 6 volts that Canon EOS cameras are made for), you could fry the electronics in your camera. This can go quickly or slowly (over time). If you don't know the trigger voltage of the flash, better use something like the Wein Safe Sync (http://www.weinproducts.com/safesyncs.htm), which is often recommended when people ask your question. The safe sync protects your camera from the high voltages.

More info on this in the Canon EOS Flash Photography FAQ (http://photonotes.org/articles/eos-flash/index2.html#trigger). A short quote from that FAQ:

Note that the damage to the camera can be subtle and cumulative - simply hooking up the flash and seeing if it works is no guarantee that the high voltage isn’t slowly damaging your camera’s flash circuit - arcing and pitting connectors and breaking down internal components.
