Apple 23" cinema display, trade in dell?

Well i currently own a 2405fpw (first gen) and i have the oportunity to trade it in for an apple 23" HD Cinema display.

Firstly will these screens work on a non mac computer?

Will the colors be better on it then the dell?

if your computer video card has a digital plug (same for any LCD monitors) it will work.

I've heard about some color calibration issues with this particular model (23" Apple Cinema) so you better double-check
