Is anyone familiar with Domke bags such as Bulldog 10, Cub 20, Matrix, Dataporter or Giraffe? I see them for (what looks like reasonable prices) at Adorama's clearance webpages, but cannot find them on Domke's website. Since I'm new to Domke's products, I don't know if they're previous year's models, produced just for Adorama, knockoffs or what.

Never heard of them, but from the looks of them, those are Domkes for people who don't actually want a Domke: Too much padding, and they don't look you can really work out of them...

For a while Tiffen was importing Kata bags under the Domke label. I have a couple of the backpack systems; they're nice enough bags, although not as convenient to work from as the classic canvas Domkes. My backpacks work with the Giraffe and Toad components. The Toad's easy enough to work from; the Giraffe is actually not all that well-suited to the EOS line, since the handgrip on the camera doesn't fit well in the holster.

I got one Domke Anaconda 20, during this sale, from Adorama... It's big, well padded, and well made... The handle is a little bit thin, when the bag is fully loaded... Of course, it was fully loaded with the heaviest of lenses, including the Canon "Brick" 24-70mm, the Canon 70-200mm f2.8L IS, fitted upright, and several other lenses, flash, bracket, plus camera.

It's definitely worth the money, just quite heavy when full.

The other bag models, I believe are considerably smaller and shouldn't be a "weight" problem when full.

I also, have several other bags/cases (Crumpler 7 Mill, Lowepro Slinger 300, etc.) and this (Anaconda) one is pretty good..
