I am thinking about purchasing this lens, if I did, could I get some nice results without extension tubes, a new flash , etc.... I have an XTi, so could I just put the lens on the XTi body and come away with some good shots?

Thanks
Stephen

You mean the 100mm f/2.8 macro or 100mm f/2? The latter will require extension tubes and is not engineered for flatness of field as the macro lens is.

I have the 100mm 2.8 and here are a couple shots I took with it just to give you an idea of what you can do with it. It's a great lens.
