Does anyone use the Night Mode?

Its just easier using a longer shutter speed and a tripod.

I've used it occasionally. The best example was a statue in the foreground with a spotlit castle in the background. The night mode enabled both to be exposed, surrounded by dark sky. I've also got a few night shots with the self-timer so that my wife and I were exposed by the flash, with an interesting night scene behind us. The camera was supported to keep the long background exposure sharp.
Seems I mostly use this on vacations (especially the rare ones in Europe), when the backgrounds and night lighting are more interesting.

Yeah, I've used it on a few occassional when the background was interesting and I had people in the foreground. Times Square at dark comes to mind.
