Every now and then I come across something either made or left by a bug which looks interesting. In this case a spider exuvium which happens to be stuck in one of the honey drops I sometimes leave out on my water barrel. Would love to know what actually happened here.

WOW! Looks like something a bit larger and meaner than the spider dropped in for lunch.
Nice shots. :D

maybe Mr Spider got stuck in the honey and reckoned then was a good time for a moult? Quite funny seeing the head looking rather startled to be off body!

Thanks for the comments everybody :)
Toby- that was exactly my impression - pretty certain it is just a moult - if you look at the head in #5 you seem to be able to see a reflection of the inside of the head with the light going through the eye lenses.

Bryce yes they are all focus stacks.
