Well I have purchased these from ebay. I purchased new batterys, no love. I also took apart the transmitter. Nothing in the way of a short. Its really bugging me as I cant even get the red led on the transmitter to work.
Pics, does anything seem out of place?

The pics are too small to show details for me. Have you try it without the cover on with the receiver? I read some user had to modify the cover a bit.

Im not sure about the reciver, but the problem is that i cant even get the transmitter to work. In theory if it is working, wont the led flash red?

leave the back of the receiver unit off... that's what it takes to make mine work.
I nearly gave up on it and then it started to work okay... I guess you gets whats yous pays for :)

Your channels are set differently. Make sure the channels on your receivers are set to the same channel as your transmitter.
Also try shooting without the battery covers on, or on only loosely.
When you press the test button on the transmitter, does the LED flash red? The LEDs on the receivers aren't always on for mine, but they work fine.
Finally, what flash are you using them with?

Im using some really old sunpaks. Both run on 2 AA batteries. The thing is, the transmitter led wont work. That is what i cant work out:confused:

I use a 580ex and an ancient sunpak too.
Try plugging in the wire that comes with it and see if they'll work in wired mode.

Nah, they dont work in wired mode, either. That would have to mean its a fault in the transmitter and/or recievers, yeah? Something very weird happens, though. The flash triggers if i slide it onto the hotshoe of the reciver whils they are joined.

I'd say so. I had some issues with mine but with experimentation it worked. Email the seller and see if he has any ideas or get a replacement.
