Took a closer look at requirements, no way that anyone can send in a picture for A2 size, resolution for actual image is WAY too high for any camera, only 1Ds or 1Ds MK II can produce something like that.

Bummer :(

Why don't you just increase the pixel count/increase image size in PS etc. ?

Works fine for me for up to A1 sizes and that is from my 10D. I've got a couple of framed A1's on my office wall and they look great at normal viewing distance.

I thought about that, but never done it before, does it affect image quality much?

You or the printers can increase image size somewhat.

A couple of my 10D pics were used for rather large
posters and they are fine.

The poster's free, so why not just go ahead?

I played around with one of my RAW files (from 20D)
today and while in the RAW converter I chose 2 sizes
up from the original, then converted and after that
sharpened slightly. Looks very good on my monitor
(17" PB, 1440x900 resolution) but was very sharp to
begin with
