I stumbled across it from a members sig and read about it... it looks very user friendly and inexpensive.

You are joking right? It's in japanese or something. It looks like a person's private page too. Are we talking about the same thing??

Ditto...been using it for years.....

If I only had any type of HTML/web design talent....*sigh*

Those who do can really make JAlbum skins FLY!

Take a look at some of the sample galleries on jalbum.NET ;)

Not that my stuff is truly representative, buy the website in my sig is based on the Chameleon JAlbum skin with Exhibit Plus! tossed in there (because I haven't taken the time to figure out WHY E+! doesn't work right on my new system! LOL!)

I have just switched over to it recently. It is very nice and easy to use for a beginner, but also extremely configurable if you get more into it, especially if you know a bit of HTML and know the look that you are going for. I have just revamped my website using a skin called 'matrix' with some custom edits. Feel free to look: www.butterpeanut.com

I am not an expert, just a beginner, but I think I shall be using jalbum for quite some time to help generate galleries, and I have recommended it to several people since I started using it. All the best with it.

I've just started using it after my own attempts at using frontpage and html tweaks. Much easier, and some nice skins. I've just put up 2 of my gelleries converted to JAlbum, using the lightbox2 skin. Looks much better, tidier etc.

What about security? Most of these sites I can right-click-save-as on the pic...

this has been a long discussion in other threads. even if you disable the ability to 'right click > save image' then people can just as easily grab your image using 'print screen'.

maybe best to 'watermark' make small jpgs (not original 'large' size) and not worry

Many of the JAlbum skins have a "right-click disable" feature....but as Andrew stated, CTRL+prtscrn does the job.....
