Hello all. A friend contacted me today and asked me if she could have some nude and semi-nude photos taken of her. I've no problem taking these shots but want to make sure I'm following all the rules. I understand the basics (18+ model, basic model release re: consent) but what else do I have to have in the way of paperwork should I ever want to display or sell these photos (both points to be discussed with my friend)?
Any advice on paperwork, pitfalls, and perils welcome! :D

basic model release re: consent) If you have that, it's all you really need.

Money exchange between friends is delicate. If you can get beyond that and have your paperwork in place (as you've described) you should be ok.

I would STRONGLY suggest you make a photocopy of take a picture of her identification such as a driver's license or passport. This will give you proof of age if there is ever a legal question about her age. Say for example, you take the shots and have an outside lab process the images. The labe believes she may be under-age and call the authorities to do an investigation. You tell the cops, "she told me she was 18". Now what?

There are some special model releases especially for this sort of thing. Google for them. I recently was requested to do something similar, but the job never came together. Anyway, I found a lot of info about nude model releases on the Internet. These were a bit more detailed, specific and stringent about usage than the usual model releases.
