Hi,
I have a canon powershot A300 and would like to send a short movie clip via email.
Could anyone tell me if this is possible,I did try to attach to an email but it wouldn't play, though it will play on my computer in media player.
Regards Ray

If you go to http://codecs.necromancers.ru/ and scroll down to "M-JPEG Codec - vids:mjpg Motion JPEG decompressor", you can download the codec needed. Use WinZIP (or something similar) to extract the files then follow the instructions in the .txt file to install the codec.
You can also try changing the extension to .MPG (sometimes this works too).

Thanks JohnnyE,
I followed your instructions and it seemed to be okay except it took a long time to send and after about 15 min: outlook express said there was an error..... I suspect that the clip was too large?
Thanks again for your help i'll try a shorter clip next time.

Emailing large files can sometimes be problematic, not to mention possibly creating an unpleasant surprise to recipients on dial-up. You might try stashing the file somewhere that has web access and emailing just the link. There are also some web services that will help with this, such as
YouSendIt (http://s9.yousendit.com/), and SendThisFile (http://www.sendthisfile.com/info.cfm) I just found with a Google search. I haven't tried them yet but they are probably worth checking out.
