I use Zenfolio and link to the galleries from my webpage. Works great for me. Also use it for proof viewing.

I use Zenfolio and love it. The problem is that I keep personal and professional (as pro as I am LOL) on it. I am thinking about separating the two. Although I will still sell through special galleries on Zenfolio because I have their premium package. Then I wanted a simple gallery for my website so people could just browse photos.

So I started playing with a free program called, ironically enough, ZenPhoto (unrelated to Zenfolio)(www.zenfoto.org) and it's really easy to install on your server and has some decent templates. Here is mine, although I am still playing with it. It's not "live" on my site and just has random galleries and images for testing purposes: HERE (http://www.markbillingsphotography.com/gallery/)
