I have recently been approached to do a school style shoot for a local Cub Scout troop. I was asked to put together pricing for it to forward on to the troop leader. As this is my first school-style shoot I was hoping to get some help with the pricing structure.

I have done some research and have a good idea what should be included in the packages and reasonable prices. My real question has to do with sitting fees. Is it common practice to charge a sitting fee for the event to the organization, or should I expect all of my fees to be wrapped up into the package pricing and float the sitting fees?

I am expecting 25 individual shots of the cubs and 4 or 5 group shots.

Thanks for the help

Well are you to share any profits with the pack? Will it all be shot in one period of time? IE cubs line up and you shoot individual portraits one at a time and then take den shots? Specifics would help.

I'd suggest you shoot at pack meeting. Pricing is determined by profit sharing. They can flat fee you ($/hour to shoot with costs for print) or your can sell on spec.

Fill in the blanks and you'll get better feedback. IMHO.
