I see that they are taking orders for Radiopoppers. Are any of you dedicated Canon flashers going to buy a couple and post a review for the forum?

I would love to see a review as well. But I'm really curious as to how much they are. No matter how much fine print I read I just cannot find a price.

Jonas...had they done away with the manufacturer master unit requirement, the design would have been MUCH more complicated to bring to market AND have been much more expensive, thereby negating any savings from not having to purchase the master units.
As for me...I'll be ordering a set of P1s and an extra receiver soon.

A forum member has already reviewed them.
It's really not hard to use the search button.

With the cost of the Poppers and the price of the E-TTL flashes I'm not sure this is a cost effective solution for me. I'm looking to use remote flashes primarily for indoor sports, I just don't see E-TTL being helpful there.

Then you can get the Radio popper JR for about 25.00 each. They give you remote control without ETTL.

So does anyone know how the hrs will compare to something like the Skyports? I'm assuming for that price the range would not be equal.

Where did you get these prices from?!?
The Radiopopper on-line store lists the P1 as $180 (per transmitter/receiver)!
Then there is the P1 receiver dipole antenna for $30 (has higher gain than the one supplied with the P1 receiver) and the P1 receiver replacement optic tube for $5.
Best regards,
Anton
