hey guys, im new to the photography scene, i was wondering what kind of lens was used for these shots, or was it just a very under exposed shot with a crazy depth?

Honestly any Canon, Sigma and Tamron lens can achieve this.
The 2nd shot looks to be shot at slower shutter speeds/ higher f-number to achieve the movement effect. He/She probably set the camera to AI Servo and focused on the car and composed the shot.
The clouds seem to be overexposed, everything else is post processed.

thanks, yea for some reason i don't know why but the second shot almost looks like it develops almost a fisheye look when you look at the pavement and also at the sky. kind of like a wide angle lens but not as extreme.

maybe its just an illusion being created from the ground and sky showing motion.

I would probably have to say the photographer was using something like a 17-40mm set at or near 17mm, maybe on an APS-C sized sensor.

And the lead car is probably a lot closer than you think because the way wide angle lenses are.
