I'm really pleased with the performance of my S30 during a 3-week trip to Ireland (this was my first stab at digital photography, and I'm sold). Now I am looking for suggestions for software on dealing with the images that I have downloaded to my computer with ZoomBrowser EX.

First, for a print album. After casually checking out the various software programs that came from Microsoft, Dell, with my scanner, my printer, and my camera, etc., I have the impression that PhotoRecord (which came with the camera) looks best. Any experiences out there? Other recommended software?

Second, a slide show program (especially for viewing the video avi clips). I downloaded everything to my computer successfully with ZoomBrowser EX, but this seems to be a weak program for constructing slide shows. I can't even get the images re-arranged with the drag and drop procedure that they have. I've thought about PowerPoint, since I have it and it is quite powerful. When I tried it, I was able to import the individual images into PP without any problem, but when I tried to import the avi clips, I got a message that it wouldn't work for this type of video (even though the avi format is supposed to work in PP, and I used the correct command - "Insert Movie from File". Any suggestions on how to do this, or on an alternative program for slide shows?

Check out ThumbsPlus 5 at www.cerious.com.
Given a set of pictures, it creates a slideshow as an executable program. It does lots of other neat things, such as printing a catalog of thumbnails for a given set of images.
