Playing in B/W

Hi everyone, kinda new around here but looking for some help with b/w's. Any comments/suggestions appreciated! Thanks!

I like it, in spite of it being shot with a nikon. :D

I would like to see more glow out of the flower, maybe make that color a little lighter (not much). It is also quite crisp, try a touch of gaussian blur, just to play around.

I do like it though. These are just things to play with.

I think it's very nice. And I agree the flower seems a little 'dim' to me. Maybe bump up the contrast a hair? Is it an Iris?

Except for the rare few.I like seeing flowers in full bold colors.....
