Maintaing EXIF data when resizing JPEG

Hello,
I have Ee running and it is great. I have a slow modem connection so I must resize my gallery photos before uploading to my database.

When I do this, I lose my EXIF data and have to put in manually. Of course if I just upload the original file, it takes too long, but has the EXIF data intact.

My photo editor is Paint Shop Pro 6, but I am going to upgrade to PSP 8.

How can I resave my image to a smaller file size for faster uploading, while maintaining the EXIF data? I am hoping a newer version of PSP will allow this.

Sorry if this is a repeat, I searched and did not find an answer.

I can't tell you about PSP but if you use IrfanView for resizing your images you can keep the EXIF/IPTC data (if you have checked the option keep existing EXIF/IPTC datat). I wonder if PSP has such an option as well.
