View Full Version : The Abbey Road - remake on the beach

My friends and I were just messing around on the beach and I got an idea to do an "Abbey Road" picture.

I'm very new to Photoshop, (I have CS3) so I did the best I could with using layers and transparencies and such.... I'm just trying to learn photoshop through trial and error.

Any tips about photoshop, advice on how to make this better, or critiques on this picture are very welcomed.... THANKS!

I just don't see what direction you are trying to take with the image.

hmmmm.... well, this is the original.

I'm not sure I had a direction, I just started learning how to use layers and I went a little nuts.... so I took the trees and the street lines from a photo of Abbey road and used layers to put them into one picture.

I think I was trying to keep the picture I took on the beach and add just a hint of the Beatles Abbey Road to it.....

Fun idea. If for any other reason, it's a fun project to use while growing more comfortable with the software. Here's some things I might try:

Flip the ladies so they're walking in the same direction the boys were.

You might want to create and couple extra layers and start erasing certain parts of the beach or street scenes until combined you find a happy medium. Also, I'd try softening some the glare from the sun, maybe with some light burning. I dunno what else...keep playing.

Ha Ha, like it...Good fun image. Would have worked just as well without the trees.
