Orhid with new lens

I am very new to photography so this forum is very helpful for me.

This is shot with an EF-S 55-250 IS @250 f/5.6 1/250 iso 400 from about 5 feet away.

I think the main subject or the main part of the flower should be lighter.. this will pull the eye more to the picture. but i like how macro the picture is

All the lighting is in the background and you can't really see the subject, You would have needed fill flash if you wanted the BG lit like that.
