I'm curious as to what percentage of times you click the button you actually have a picture that you'd put in a set of photos for the event/subject/etc.

I shoot such a variety of things but mostly either people at night events or some small object such as a beaker, etc. I'd probably consider 15% of my shots `keeper` quality.

M,

I always produce junk for about an hour, then my photographers brain seems to switch on and I reckon about 40 - 50% are keepers. Before that -Nothing.

Since coming to digital (very recently), I've started "wasting" frames. I bracket expose a lot, play with focusing, aperture etc. So my percentage has dropped, but total number of keepers has gone up dramatically.

When I've solved all the problems with the digital, out comes my Eos-3 and the scene gets immortalised in Velvia.

If I'm honest, I'd guess at 5%.... I know, I'm crap! Photoshop brings it up to maybe 6 or 7% :)
