Wardie the crowd would be not much further than 60 metres,maybe even closer not much of a judge of distance. Looking at the landing chart the main sealed runway has a 30 metre taxiway beside it on the crowd side and I presume they use the main runway for their display line guide.

Nice pans on the L-39, P-51,F-4U, wish they did the Dump and Burn here in the states, very cool stuff.

Hi,

Very nice panning shots. Spent three days in Wanaka and really enjoyed the show. The conditions where very hard for good photos, but you have pulled it off with these beauties.

Thank you all for those comments and hope that you enjoyed the shots as much as I enjoyed taking them. Still coming to grips with the camera but getting a little better all the time.
