CCD Failure twice on an A70?

I have an old A70 that I actually sent in to Canon back in July of 2006 for the free CCD failure repair and it had been working fine ever since.

Recently it appears to be having the same problems again. Do you think that it is possible to be having the same problem even after fixing it once?

I've already purchased a new sd1100 for the wife, but if it's worth sending it back in again and will get a free repair, I wouldn't mind giving it to my daughter to use.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

My sister had the same problem with an A60 - after several repair attempts, Canon gave her a new A550 (or something like that)!

Free repair - can't beat the price tho'
