SPOT METERING? HELP!

I recently bought a Canon EOS Digital rebel. How do I access spot metering on the camera?

I'm afraid there is no such thing on a Drebel, only evaluative, centerweighted and partial metering.

You mean i paid all this money and there is no spot metering? Even a Coo Pix has Spot. What were they thinking?

Do you really want spot metering? I.E. do you know how to use a spot meter efficiently with the zone system to help you visualize the photo before it is taken?

If you have a zoom lens, you can always zoom in, read the in camera meter and zoom out again. A pain but.... Other wise you can always but an external spot meter off ebay. I may have a minolta spotmeter to auction soon.
